HYDROLOGY/ HYDRAULICS PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER

This position is responsible for helping our Water Resources group grow

HYDROLOGY/ HYDRAULICS PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER

Job Duties

  • Assist Team Leader and help grow the Hydrology/Hydraulics Team

  • Manage projects including budget, scope and schedule

  • Coordinate with agencies, contractors, and consultants as needed to complete a project

  • Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models

  • Develop hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, reports and designs

  • QA/QC of designs, reports and models

  • Supervise and mentor staff

  • Assist in new business development initiatives which include but are not limited to preparing SOQ’s, maintaining and building existing client relationships, and preparing formal project proposals with level of effort estimates

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

  • Texas Registered P.E.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in civil engineering and hydrologic/hydraulic design

  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to build and maintain Client relationships

  • Highly motivated to meet client deadlines

  • Knowledge of standards for the various reviewing agencies in the Houston Metro area

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously

  • Share in Blackline’s vision of making customer service a priority

Software

  • HEC-RAS required (1D/2D experience preferred)

  • HEC-HMS required

  • XP-SWMM or similar software preferred

  • GIS experience (ArcMap/Pro) preferred

  • MS Word, Excel (with formulas), Outlook, and PowerPoint required.

  • AutoCAD experience preferred
